Indian Batter's Historic Achievement

Bengaluru, India - Indian batter KL Rahul has etched his name alongside Virat Kohli in an exclusive list by surpassing the latter's record. Rahul made his comeback to international cricket after a four-month hiatus due to injury during India's thrilling victory over Sri Lanka in the second ODI.
Rahul's return to form became even more notable when he equaled Kohli's record of becoming the second-fastest Indian batter to reach 50 ODI half-centuries. The Karnataka batter achieved this feat in just 96 innings, matching Kohli's pace. Rahul's knock was crucial in India's victory, as he anchored the chase with a responsible 64 off 103 deliveries.
However, Rahul's fitness remains a concern for the Indian selectors as the team prepares for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The batter picked up a niggle during the Indian Premier League (IPL) and missed the first ODI against Sri Lanka as a precautionary measure. Chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar confirmed that Rahul's fitness will be closely monitored during the team's conditioning camp in Bengaluru.
